The initial blast was all masculine and patchouli, but within 10 minutes it softened up. It was like someone had squirted Dior Addict into their unwashed armpits to try and mask the smell of sweat. I'll stick with Alien, which works wonderfully with my chemistry. For a day or so, my Vaniglia Mazzolari was the comfort I needed.
Not a test strip and definitely not from sniffing the nozzle. Never before have I seen a fragrance so mismatched with its name. I acquired a sample and did a small spray on my wrist. So I'd put it up to my nose, and that was a whole different story.
On my last few days I got a sweet deep gourmand scent. My mum hates super sweet scent and interesting loves this. I want to try angel muse see if I prefer it to the original My dad just died. We’d often go years without even speaking on the telephone. Nothing gets me to my badass self quite like the original Angel can. A genuine powerhouse, the praline, vanilla, and patchouli read most prominent from me with the other notes well-blended but making fleeting cameos throughout the duration.
Huge deep patchouli then the vanilla and chocolate came to play. I'm not a fan of alien but angel smells pretty good on me and it's not as harsh and in your faces alien I find.that's just on me , it reminds me of my grandma as she used to wear it alot in the 90s. Now it’s time to dust myself off, dry my tears and get myself back together again.
I recommend cautious, deliberately-slow application as in, spray once and wait a bit, several minutes before applying more as I firmly believe that Mugler Angel really IS that potent.
This reviews a 3.4 ounce bottle of Mugler Angel EDP, batch no.303303, mfgd. This is the refillable version (versus the type you have to remove the cap to access the atomizer).
Angel by Mugler is a Oriental Vanilla fragrance for women. Angel was created by Olivier Cresp and Yves de Chirin. It didn’t help that it’s holiday season and I’d just had my bazillionth hip surgery either. It will wear many a woman who isn’t confident or strong enough. So if it is to be a success, you have to be on your game and in control. Some will find this blasphemous, but to my own perception/nose, I find Mugler Angel uncannily similar to Christian Dior Addict eau de parfum.
Top notes are bergamot, pineapple and red berries; middle notes are caraway and nutmeg; base notes are tonka bean, vanilla, patchouli, praline and sandalwood. Then I tried it again as I'm a fan of all Thierry Mugler's perfumes, something clicked and I liked it. In fact, I was going to replace the bottle of Addict that I swapped away but realized this morning, after I applied Angel that I really don't need both of them (they are *that* similar..me).
This is truly a fragrance masterpiece that has so many different phases to it. It’s a shame the reformulation completely change it and transformed a power monster and one of the most good woman fragrance in an ordinary and no personality perfume... It smells similar to Calvin Klein Euphoria, but better.
i work at a fragrance counter, i spilled some of this stuff on my hands. it smells like a fake and it is poor compared to the vi rage and real Angel. I think it's been described by others as an oriental gourmand.
I don't know if it's just me, but the pineapple (which I had to think about), patchouli, spice, and chocolate makes my nose almost tingle when I smell it.
